A MEMORIAL

HONORING REPRESENTATIVE STEPHANIE GARCIA RICHARD AND RECOGNIZING HER OUTSTANDING SERVICE TO NEW MEXICO.

     WHEREAS, Representative Stephanie Garcia Richard has demonstrated a unique ability to bridge the ideological differences within her district to represent both sides with respect and dignity; and

     WHEREAS, Representative Garcia Richard is a skilled juggler who balances family, career and sometimes naughty committee members with grace; and

     WHEREAS, her bubbly and excitable personality keeps the house education committee going; and

     WHEREAS, Representative Garcia Richard will not allow committee members to excuse themselves, even for a restroom break, when the committee is close to adopting a bill; and

     WHEREAS, Representative Garcia Richard is an educator who loves her job and is a great curriculum developer and a strong leader for instructional support in her district; and

     WHEREAS, Representative Garcia Richard has carried her passion for education throughout her career and tenure in public service; and

     WHEREAS, Representative Garcia Richard has always shown her love for the many diverse cultures and history of New Mexico; and

     WHEREAS, mi hermana Stephanie has roots in the western digs of district 70 en el Llano Estacado, explaining her loyalty and strength of character; and

     WHEREAS, the house education committee will sincerely miss Representative Garcia Richard and her boundless energy;

     NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO that the house of representatives express its deep appreciation and recognition to Representative Stephanie Garcia Richard for her service to the legislature and the state; and

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that Representative Stephanie Garcia Richard be wished the very best in her new endeavors and happiness as she pursues her dreams; and

     BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this memorial be transmitted to Representative Stephanie Garcia Richard.
