    Your PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 99

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 2, line 18, strike the closing quotation mark and between lines 18 and 19, insert the following new subsection:

         "D. Nothing in this section shall prohibit the use of hearing aids, voice amplifiers or other medical equipment necessary to aid prisoners. Rules for such devices shall be established by the warden or director of each jail, detention center and prison.",

and thence referred to the JUDICIARY COMMITTEE.
