HOUSE FLOOR AMENDMENT number ___1_ to  HOUSE BILL 349, as amended

Amendment sponsored by Representative Roberto "Bobby" J. Gonzales

    1. Strike House Judiciary Committee Amendment 1.

    2. On page 4, between lines 23 and 24, insert the following new subsection:

         "D. "passenger van" means a vehicle with seating for thirteen or fewer people, maximum interior headroom of fifty-two inches and single rear tires;".

    3. Reletter the succeeding subsections accordingly.

    4. On page 10, strike lines 8 through 12 and insert in lieu thereof:

         "A. A driver shall yield the right of way to a transit bus, excepting a passenger van, when an illuminated sign is displayed on the rear of the bus and the bus is attempting to merge into a traffic lane.".

    5. On page 16, line 24, strike "2017" and insert in lieu thereof "2019".
