Your JUDICIARY COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred
HOUSE BILL 284
has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
1. On page 3, line 3, after the period, strike the remainder
of the line, strike lines 4 through 9 in their entirety and insert in lieu thereof:
"Medical necessity may include considerations such as severity of side effects, differences in permanence or reversibility of contraceptives and ability to adhere to the appropriate use of the item or service, as determined by the attending provider.".
2. On page 8, line 6, after the period, strike the remainder of the line, strike lines 7 through 12 in their entirety and insert in lieu thereof:
"Medical necessity may include considerations such as severity of side effects, differences in permanence or reversibility of contraceptives and ability to adhere to the appropriate use of the item or service, as determined by the attending provider.".
3. On page 12, line 23, strike "For".
4. On page 12, strike lines 24 and 25 in their entirety and insert in lieu thereof:
"Medical necessity may include considerations such as severity of side effects, differences in permanence or reversibility of contraceptives and ability to adhere to the appropriate use of the item or service, as determined by the attending provider.".
5. On page 13, strike lines 1 through 4 in their entirety.
