    Your REGULATORY AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE JOINT RESOLUTION 1

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

     1. On page 1, line 15, after "DEFENDANTS", insert "WHO DO NOT

POSE A FLIGHT RISK".

     2. On page 2, line 20, strike "a danger" and insert in

lieu thereof "detainable on grounds of dangerousness nor a flight risk in the absence of bond".

     3. On page 2, line 22, after the period, insert "A defendant who is neither a danger nor a flight risk and who has a financial inability to post a money or property bond may file a motion with the court requesting relief from the requirement to post bond. The court shall rule on the motion in an expedited manner.".,

and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE.
