    Your PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 291

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 2, line 4, after "nurse-midwife", insert "or a licensed midwife".

    2. On page 3, line 13, strike "and".

    3. On page 3, between lines 13 and 14 insert the following new paragraph:

             "(2) "licensed midwife" means a person who is licensed by the department of health as a licensed midwife; and".

    4. Renumber the succeeding paragraph.,

and thence referred to the FINANCE COMMITTEE.
