SENATE BILL 263
has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:
1. On page 1, line 12, strike ", ADMINISTERS".
2. On page 1, line 14, strike "OTHER" and insert in lieu thereof "ADJACENT".
3. On page 2, line 2, after "a", insert "pharmacist,".
4. On page 2, line 13, strike ", administers".
5. On page 2, line 18, strike "another" and insert in lieu thereof "an adjacent".
6. On page 2, line 19, after the period, insert:
"The provisions of this subsection shall not apply to the prescription or dispensing of an opioid for a supply of four days or less.".
7. On page 2, line 22, strike "another" and insert in lieu thereof "an adjacent".
8. On page 2, line 24, strike ", administers".
9. On page 3, between lines 10 and 11, insert the following new subsection:
"F. Nothing in this section shall be construed to require a practitioner to obtain a prescription monitoring report when prescribing an opioid to a patient in a nursing facility or in hospice care.".
10. Reletter the succeeding subsection accordingly.
11. On page 3, line 13, strike ", administers".
12. On page 3, line 14, after the period, insert:
"Nothing in this section shall be construed to prevent a professional licensing board from requiring by rule that practitioners obtain prescription monitoring program reports with greater frequency than that required by this section.".
