AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE WORKFORCE SOLUTIONS DEPARTMENT FOR A BUSINESS PERFORMANCE EXCELLENCE PROGRAM.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred twenty-five thousand dollars ($125,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the workforce solutions department for expenditure in fiscal year 2017 to expand performance excellence leadership training to New Mexico's workforce, assessment services and assistance to New Mexico businesses and organizations to strengthen their effectiveness, efficiency and competitiveness and thereby encourage economic development and job creation. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2017 shall revert to the general fund.
