AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY TO SUPPORT THE SOUTHWEST TECHNOLOGY DEVELOPMENT INSTITUTE IN EXPANDING RESEARCH AND TRAINING IN MICROGRIDS AND RENEWABLES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2017 and subsequent fiscal years to support the southwest technology development institute in expanding research and training in microgrids and renewables. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
