AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE INDIAN AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT TO SUPPORT A PEER-HELPING SUICIDE PREVENTION PROGRAM IN PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOLS IN NATIVE AMERICAN COMMUNITIES IN NORTHWESTERN NEW MEXICO.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty-one thousand dollars ($51,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the Indian affairs department to support a peer-helping suicide prevention program in public high schools in Native American communities in northwestern New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2016. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2016 shall revert to the general fund.
