AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH TO PROVIDE FOR EXPANSION OF PRIMARY CARE MEDICAL AND DENTAL HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONAL RECRUITMENT AND TO ADD THE RECRUITMENT OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CARE PROFESSIONALS TO THE STATE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of health for expenditure in fiscal year 2016 to fund the health professional recruitment efforts of the department of health, including an expansion of efforts to recruit primary care medical and dental health care professionals and the addition of efforts to recruit behavioral health care professionals. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2016 shall revert to the general fund.
