SENATE FLOOR AMENDMENT number ___1__ to HOUSE BILL 169

    1. On page 1, line 15 through page 2, line 3, strike Section 1 in its entirety.

    2. Renumber the succeeding sections accordingly.

    3. On page 9, lines 4 through 7, strike Subsection H in its entirety and insert in lieu thereof the following new subsections:

         "H. request that an individual voluntarily cease and desist from holding the individual out as a social worker, practicing social work without a license or otherwise violating the Social Work Practice Act and meet with the board to discuss these matters;

         I. in the event that the board's efforts to gain cooperation from an individual pursuant to Subsection H of this section are unsuccessful or in a situation that the board deems to be an emergency, apply for an injunction in district court to enjoin any person from committing any act prohibited by the Social Work Practice Act;".

    4. Reletter the succeeding subsections accordingly.

    5. On page 11, lines 3 through 12, strike Section 8 in its entirety.

    6. Renumber the succeeding sections accordingly.

    7. On page 16, line 2, after "Sections", insert "61-31-2," and after "61-31-12", strike "and" and insert in lieu thereof a comma.

    8. On page 16, line 3, after "61-31-13.1", insert "and

61-31-23".

    9. On page 16, line 3, after "Sections", insert "2,".

    10. On page 16, line 4, after "12", strike "and" and insert in lieu thereof a comma and after "8", insert "and Laws 1989, Chapter 51, Section 23".
