AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE INTERSTATE STREAM COMMISSION TO UPDATE THE LOWER RIO GRANDE REGIONAL WATER PLAN.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the interstate stream commission for expenditure in fiscal years 2014 and 2015 to contract with the lower Rio Grande water users organization to update the lower Rio Grande regional water plan. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2015 shall revert to the general fund.
