AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF NORTHERN NEW MEXICO STATE SCHOOL TO INCREASE FACULTY SALARIES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Six hundred thousand dollars ($600,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of northern New Mexico state school for expenditure in fiscal year 2014 to increase faculty salaries to a level approaching those paid in peer institutions. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2014 shall revert to the general fund.
