AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR COMPENSATION INCREASES AT THE DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million two hundred thousand dollars ($1,200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of transportation for expenditure in fiscal year 2014 to provide a one percent salary increase to department employees. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2014 shall revert to the general fund.
