AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF FINANCE AND ADMINISTRATION FOR A CROP GLEANING PROJECT TO ACQUIRE FRESH PRODUCE FOR THE STATE'S FOOD BANK PROGRAMS.

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2014 to contract for services to glean fields of produce and to contract with farmers to grow produce to distribute to the state's food bank program to supply food to indigent residents of the state. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2014 shall revert to the general fund.
