AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE STATE LIBRARY TO FUND ADULT LITERACY PROGRAMS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Three hundred forty-seven thousand two hundred dollars ($347,200) is appropriated from the general fund to the state library for expenditure in fiscal year 2012 and subsequent fiscal years to fund adult literacy programs. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
