AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO CONTRACT WITH A STATEWIDE FOOD BANK PROGRAM TO FEED HUNGRY AND HOMELESS NEW MEXICANS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2013 to contract with a statewide food bank program to gather, pack, transport, distribute and prepare donated food to feed hungry or homeless New Mexicans. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2013 shall revert to the general fund.
