HOUSE BILL 278

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

1. On page 2, line 9, strike "The" and insert in lieu thereof

"In addition to the authority to recommend to the governing authority of a state agency or a local public body the suspension or debarment of a business pursuant to Subsection A of this section, the”.

     2. On page 2, line 10, strike "may" and insert in lieu thereof "shall have the authority to".

     3. On page 2, line 12, strike "determines that there is reasonable suspicion of" and insert in lieu thereof "receives or becomes aware of reliable information that would give a reasonable person reason to believe that the".

     4. On page 2, line 13, strike "that".

     5. On page 2, line 16, strike "shall".

     6. On page 2, line 17, before "immediately", insert "shall".

     7. On page 3, line 6, before "inform", insert "shall".

     8. On page 3, line 8, strike "and".

     9. On page 3, line 9, before "hold", insert "shall".

     10. On page 3, line 11, strike the period and insert in lieu thereof "; and".

     11. On page 3, between lines 11 and 12, insert the following new paragraph:

                "(4) may recommend to the governing authority of a state agency or a local public body the suspension or debarment of the business pursuant to Subsection A of this section.".

     12. On page 4, line 14, strike "making false statements" and insert in lieu thereof "fraud, perjury".,

and thence referred to the JUDICIARY COMMITTEE.
