HOUSE BILL 183

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 1, line 20, after the semicolon insert “and”.

    2. On page 2, line 1, after “them”, strike “; and” and insert a period.

    3. On page 2, strike lines 2 through 5 in their entirety.

    4. On page 2, line 18, after “or” insert “with reckless disregard” and strike “negligently”.

     5. On page 2, line 25, after "commits", insert "negligent".

     6. On page 3, line 2, strike "second" and insert in lieu thereof "third", and on line 4, strike "first" and insert in lieu thereof "second".

     7. On page 3, between lines 9 and 10, insert the following new subsection:

          "G. A person who commits intentional abuse of a child that does not result in the child's death or great bodily harm is, for a first offense, guilty of a second degree felony and for a second and subsequent offense, guilty of a first degree felony. If the abuse results in great bodily harm to the child, the person is guilty of a first degree felony.".

     8. Reletter the succeeding subsections accordingly.

     9. On page 12, line 18, strike "eighteen" and insert in lieu thereof "thirteen".

     10. On page 13, line 16, strike “eighteen” and insert in lieu thereof “thirteen”.

     11. On page 13, line 19, strike “eighteen” and insert in lieu thereof “thirteen”.
