    Your CONSUMER AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 296

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

     1. On page 5, line 12, strike "one provider" and insert in lieu thereof "two providers".

     2. On page 5, line 13, after "services", insert ", at least one of whom shall represent a privately owned provider".

     3. On page 5, line 22, strike "three" and insert in lieu thereof "two".

     4. On page 10, between lines 18 and 19, insert the following new section:

     "SECTION 7. TERMINATION OF AGENCY LIFE--DELAYED REPEAL.--The council is terminated on July 1, 2017 pursuant to the provisions of the Sunset Act. The council shall continue to operate pursuant to the provisions of Sections 4 and 5 of the Early Childhood Care and Education Act until July 1, 2018. Effective July 1, 2018, Section 4 of the Early Childhood Care and Education Act is repealed.".,

and thence referred to the EDUCATION COMMITTEE.
