    Your HEALTH AND GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 257

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

     1. On page 1, line 19, strike the semicolon and insert in lieu thereof a period.

     2. On page 1, strike line 20 in its entirety.

     3. On page 4, line 5, strike "and".

     4. On page 4, line 12, strike the period and insert in lieu thereof a semicolon.

     5. On page 4, between lines 12 and 13, insert the following new paragraphs:

                "(8) the impact over an initial five-year period and the impact over the long term of a New Mexico health benefits exchange or a single, statewide, self-insured health plan on health care quality and timely access to care; and

                (9) the impact over an initial five-year period and the impact over the long term of a New Mexico health benefits exchange or a single, statewide, self-insured health plan on health care providers, including the effect of these plan designs on the health care industry in New Mexico."

     6. On page 5, line 25 through page 6, line 6, strike Section 3 in its entirety.,

and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE.
