AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO CONTINUE IMPLEMENTING AND MONITORING THE NEW MEXICO PAY EQUITY INITIATIVE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     SECTION 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the state auditor's office for expenditure in fiscal year 2012 to continue to implement and to properly monitor the ongoing work of the New Mexico pay equity initiative. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2012 shall revert to the general fund.
