    Your AGRICULTURE AND WATER RESOURCES COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 226

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

     1. On page 5, between lines 4 and 5, insert the following new section:

     "SECTION 2. APPLICABILITY.--The provisions of this act apply to a soil and water conservation district that has in effect on or after the effective date of this act an assessment imposed pursuant to Section 73-20-46 NMSA 1978."

     2. Renumber the succeeding section accordingly.,

and thence referred to the TAXATION AND REVENUE COMMITTEE.
