    Your CONSUMER AND PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 11

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

     1. On page 1, line 11, after the second occurrence of a semicolon, insert "PROVIDING ELECTRIC MOTOR KILOWATT LIMITATIONS FOR MOPEDS AND MOTOR SCOOTERS;".

     2. On page 2, line 17, strike "motor" and insert in lieu thereof "combustion engine" and on line 18, before the comma, insert "or an electric motor rated at less than three and seventy-three hundredths kilowatts".

     3. On page 3, line 5, strike "and" and insert in lieu thereof ", a combustion engine having" and on lines 5 and 6, strike "no less than fifty cubic centimeters and" and on line 7, before the semicolon insert "or an electric motor rated at no more than eight and ninety-five hundredths kilowatts and capable of a speed greater than thirty miles an hour".
