HOUSE FLOOR AMENDMENT number ___1__ to HOUSE TAXATION AND REVENUE COMMITTEE SUBSTITUTE FOR HOUSE BILL 3

    1. On page 1, line 17, before the period insert "AND THE PUBLIC SCHOOL FUND".

    2. On page 3, line 20, strike the closing quotation mark and between lines 20 and 21, insert the following new subsection to read:

         "I. A distribution pursuant to Section 7-1-6.1 NMSA 1978 shall be made to the public school fund in an amount equal to twelve and twenty-two hundredths percent of the net receipts, exclusive of penalties and interest, attributable to the cigarette tax, which amount is appropriated to the state equalization guarantee distribution to increase the unit value for fiscal year 2011 and subsequent fiscal years and shall not revert to the general fund."".
