AN ACT

REDUCING THE APPROPRIATIONS FOR CONTRACTUAL SERVICES IN THE GENERAL APPROPRIATION ACT OF 2009.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. A new section of the General Appropriation Act

of 2009 is enacted to read:

     "[NEW MATERIAL] APPROPRIATION REDUCTIONS.--

          A. The amounts set out under the general fund column in Section 4 of the General Appropriation Act of 2009 for contractual services are reduced by fifty percent; provided, however, that the reductions shall not apply to any contract entered into before the effective date of this act.

          B. The department of finance and administration shall reduce appropriations from the General Appropriation Act of 2009 to reflect the fifty-percent reduction in Section A of this section."
