AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE CREATION, PUBLICATION AND DISTRIBUTION OF A GUARDIANSHIP HANDBOOK.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the aging and long-term services department for expenditure in fiscal year 2010 to create, publish and distribute a handbook to inform guardians and their wards about the roles and responsibilities of guardianship. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2010 shall revert to the general fund.
