AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE CHILDREN, YOUTH AND FAMILIES DEPARTMENT FOR THE AVANCE PARENT-CHILD EDUCATION PROGRAM IN DONA ANA COUNTY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the children, youth and families department for expenditure in fiscal year 2010 to implement the avance parent-child education program to provide services to two hundred twenty-five families in Chaparral, Dona Ana, Organ, Anthony, Berino, San Miguel and the Rincon-Placitas area in Dona Ana county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2010 shall revert to the general fund.
