AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A SOLAR AND PHOTOVOLTAIC ENERGY RESEARCH PROJECT TO BE CONDUCTED BY ROBERT F. KENNEDY CHARTER HIGH SCHOOL IN ALBUQUERQUE IN COOPERATION WITH A COMMUNITY-BASED ORGANIZATION AND A YOUTH-FOCUSED ORGANIZATION.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the public education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2010 for a community-based solar and photovoltaic energy research project to be conducted by Robert F. Kennedy charter high school in Albuquerque in cooperation with a community-based organization and a youth-focused organization that will provide students with the opportunity to learn about the scientific process, marketing and administration. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2010 shall revert to the general fund.
