AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO TO PROVIDE ACADEMIC AND CAREER ADVISING TO STUDENTS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million five hundred thousand dollars ($1,500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2010 to enhance student success by providing academic and career advising. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2010 shall revert to the general fund.
