AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND THE BOSQUE ECOSYSTEM MONITORING PROGRAM AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2010 for an assistant research professor in the biology department of the university of New Mexico to serve as the science director of the Bosque ecosystem monitoring program and for a staff biologist to serve as the field coordinator of the Bosque ecosystem monitoring program. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2010 shall revert to the general fund.
