AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR A DEVELOPMENTAL AND REMEDIAL COLLEGE PREPARATORY PROGRAM FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS CONDUCTED BY LUNA COMMUNITY COLLEGE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Eighty-five thousand dollars ($85,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the higher education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2010 for Luna community college to fund a "crossroads academy" program that offers a summer developmental and remedial college preparatory program to high school students. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2010 shall revert to the general fund.
