HOUSE FLOOR AMENDMENT number ___1__ to SENATE BILL 249, as amended

Amendment sponsored by Representative Elias Barela

    1. On page 1, line 24, after the first occurrence of "tax", insert "on businesses that are".

    2. On page 2, line 1, after "project", insert "and that at the time of inclusion in the district are either businesses that have relocated from outside New Mexico or are a start-up operation of an entirely new business".

    3. On page 2, between lines 1 and 2, insert the following subsection:

         "A. the determination by the New Mexico finance authority, prior to the issuance of any bonds, that the master indenture accurately reflects the limitation pursuant to this section on the gross receipts tax revenues that may be used to secure the bonds;".

    4. Reletter the succeeding subsections accordingly.
