AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO EXPAND CHILDREN'S TRUST FUND PROGRAMS FOR PREVENTION OF CHILD ABUSE AND NEGLECT.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Eight hundred thousand dollars ($800,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the children's trust fund for expenditure in fiscal year 2010 and subsequent fiscal years to expand children's trust fund programs for prevention of child abuse and neglect. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
