AN ACT
RELATING TO THE PUBLIC PEACE, HEALTH, SAFETY AND WELFARE; MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO ESTABLISH A REWARD THROUGH AN APPROPRIATE LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCY FOR INFORMATION LEADING TO THE ARREST OF THE PERPETRATOR OR PERPETRATORS OF CRIMES AGAINST WOMEN WHOSE REMAINS HAVE BEEN FOUND RECENTLY ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE CITY OF ALBUQUERQUE.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Ten thousand dollars ($10,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2010 to establish a reward through an appropriate law enforcement agency for information leading to arrest of the perpetrator or perpetrators of crimes against women whose remains have been found recently on the west side of the city of Albuquerque in Bernalillo county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2010 shall revert to the general fund.
