    Your HEALTH AND GOVERNMENT AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

HOUSE BILL 841

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

     1. On page 1, line 19, strike the semicolon, strike lines 20

through 22 in their entirety and on line 23, strike "(2)".

     2. On page 2, lines 1 and 2, strike "the hospital" and insert in lieu thereof "hospitals in the county".

     3. On page 2, line 5, strike "the sole community provider" and insert in lieu thereof "each".

     4. On page 2, line 6, before "two", insert "up to".

     5. On page 2, between lines 12 and 13, insert the following new subsection:

          "C. The medical assistance division of the human services department shall determine if the fee authorized pursuant to Subsection B of this section is consistent with federal laws and regulations prior to the fee being imposed.".

     6. On page 7, line 16, strike "a hospital" and insert in lieu thereof "hospitals".,

and thence referred to the TAXATION AND REVENUE COMMITTEE.
