AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO LUNA COMMUNITY COLLEGE TO OPERATE A SUMMER INSTITUTE IN LAS VEGAS FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the higher education department for expenditure in fiscal year 2010 for Luna community college to operate a summer institute in Las Vegas for high school students to enhance their ability to learn and to progress in their basic course work. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2010 shall revert to the general fund.
