AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY FOR THE COOPERATIVE EXTENSION SERVICE AND AGRICULTURAL EXPERIMENT STATION.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--

          A. Five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2010 as follows:

                (1) two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) to support the operation of the cooperative extension service; and

                (2) two hundred fifty thousand dollars ($250,000) to support the operation of the agricultural experiment station.

          B. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2010 shall revert to the general fund.
