HOUSE BILL 331

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

     1. On page 1, line 15, after the semicolon, strike the remainder of the line and strike line 16 through the first semicolon.

     2. On page 12, line 17, strike "The" and insert in lieu thereof "Beginning with the budget for the 2010-2011 school year, the".

     3. On page 37, line 15, after "program" strike the remainder of the line, strike line 16 and strike line 17 through "students".

     4. On page 63, line 10, strike "disabling condition" and insert in lieu thereof "disability recognized under federal law".

     5. On page 63, line 25, strike "disabling condition" and insert in lieu thereof "disability".

     6. On pages 64 through 72, strike Sections 25 through 27 in their entirety.

     7. Renumber the succeeding sections accordingly.

     8. On page 76, between lines 6 and 7, insert the following new subsection:

          "B. During the testing period and beyond, the department shall use the schedule of sufficient base per-student costs developed by the funding formula study contractor to calculate the sufficient per-student cost. For school year 2008-2009, the school district base per-student cost is five thousand two hundred two dollars eighty-two cents ($5,202.82) and the charter school base per-student cost is seven thousand thirty-eight dollars eleven cents ($7,038.11), and for school year 2009-2010, the school district base per-student cost is five thousand two hundred eighteen dollars fourteen cents ($5,218.14) and the charter school base per-student cost is seven thousand fifty-eight dollars eighty-three cents ($7,058.83).".

     9. Reletter the succeeding subsections accordingly.

     10. On page 76, line 19, strike ", 22-13-6".

     11. On page 77, line 6, strike "Laws 1972, Chapter 95, Section 2;". 

     12. On page 77, line 10, strike "2" and insert in lieu thereof "3".

     13. On page 77, line 13, strike "3" and insert in lieu thereof "2", strike "28," and insert in lieu thereof "25, 26 and" and after "29" strike "and".

     14. On page 77, line 14, strike "32".

     15. On page 77, line 16, strike "25, 26," and ", 30 and 31" and insert in lieu thereof "and 28".,

and thence referred to the APPROPRIATIONS AND FINANCE COMMITTEE.
