AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR THE SMALL FARM INSTITUTE AT NEW MEXICO STATE UNIVERSITY TO ESTABLISH A SUSTAINABLE AGRICULTURE PROGRAM FOR STUDENTS AND SMALL-SCALE FARMERS AND RANCHERS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of New Mexico state university for expenditure in fiscal year 2010 to provide teaching, research and extension services in a sustainable agriculture program by the small farm institute for students and small-scale farmers and ranchers. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2010 shall revert to the general fund.
