AN ACT

RELATING TO ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT; EXTENDING THE LIFE OF THE OFFICE OF MILITARY BASE PLANNING AND SUPPORT AND THE MILITARY BASE PLANNING COMMISSION.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. Section 9-15-51 NMSA 1978 (being Laws 2003, Chapter 166, Section 4 and Laws 2003, Chapter 170, Section 4, as amended) is amended to read:

     "9-15-51. TERMINATION OF AGENCY LIFE--DELAYED REPEAL.--The office of military base planning and support and the military base planning commission are terminated on July 1, [2009] 2013 pursuant to the provisions of the Sunset Act. The office and the commission shall continue to operate according to the provisions of [this act] Sections 9-15-48 through 9-15-51 NMSA 1978 until July 1, [2010] 2014. Effective July 1, [2010, this act is] 2014, Sections 9-15-48 through 9-15-51 NMSA 1978 are repealed."
