AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE HAZARDOUS MATERIALS DECONTAMINATION EVALUATION AND TRAINING TO VOLUNTEER AND FULL-TIME EMERGENCY FIRST RESPONDERS AND RECEIVERS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Four hundred thousand dollars ($400,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of northern New Mexico state school for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to provide hazardous materials science-based decontamination evaluation and training to volunteer and full-time emergency first responders and receivers. Any unexpended or uncumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
