    Your PUBLIC AFFAIRS COMMITTEE, to whom has been referred

SENATE BILL 237

has had it under consideration and reports same with recommendation that it DO PASS, amended as follows:

    1. On page 1, line 11, strike "ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT" and insert in lieu thereof "TOURISM".

    2. On page 1, line 12, before the period, insert "; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY".

    3. On page 1, line 17, strike "economic development" and insert in lieu thereof "tourism" and strike "year" and insert in lieu thereof "years 2008 and".

    4. On page 1, between lines 20 and 21, insert a new section to read:

    "Section 2. EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.".,

and thence referred to the FINANCE COMMITTEE.
