AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE HUMAN SERVICES DEPARTMENT FOR OPERATION OF A HOMELESS SHELTER IN SOCORRO.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Forty-nine thousand dollars ($49,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the human services department for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to support the operation of a homeless shelter in Socorro by the income support division. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
