AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR CRISIS TRIAGE SERVICES FOR THE MENTALLY ILL IN DONA ANA COUNTY.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million five hundred thousand dollars ($1,500,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the local government division of the department of finance and administration for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to implement a crisis triage center to provide individuals who are suffering from severe, chronic, uncontrolled mental illness with immediate care and professional assessment services in a fully staffed bed space facility in Dona Ana county. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
