AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO TO SUPPORT A HEPATITIS C PROGRAM AT THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO HEALTH SCIENCES CENTER.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Seven hundred fifty thousand dollars ($750,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 to support a hepatitis C program and expansion of the project ECHO program at the university of New Mexico health sciences center. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
