AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE BOARD OF REGENTS OF THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO TO HOST A NATIONAL LATINA/O LAW STUDENT CONFERENCE.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 for the Mexican American law student association of the university of New Mexico school of law to host a national Latina/o law student conference. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2009 shall revert to the general fund.
