AN ACT
MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO ASSIST RURAL COMMUNITIES IN CREATING NEW PROJECTS TO STIMULATE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:
Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the economic development department for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 and subsequent fiscal years to match federal funds and foundation grants for the creation and implementation of economic development projects in rural communities pursuant to the national rural development partnership. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
