AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE UNIVERSITY OF NEW MEXICO FOR EXPANSION OF COLLEGE OF NURSING PROGRAMS.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

     Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One million seven hundred thirty-seven thousand dollars ($1,737,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the board of regents of the university of New Mexico for expenditure in fiscal year 2009 and subsequent fiscal years to fund the expansion of nursing programs at the university of New Mexico's college of nursing. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of a fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
